2017 Laundry Vineyard Riesling/750ml
A look at the 2017 Heather's Homevineyard Riesling
While the 2016 edition was somewhat off-dry, this vintage is definitely dryer, while still retaining that distinctive Niagara Riesling palate. Bursting with green tree fruit and stone fruit, the limestone mineralogy shines throughout. Enjoy with spicy dishes or lighter seafood, such as ceviche.

"This something … an expressive, unique nose of ginger, lime and peach pie with perfumed notes of wet-stone minerality and a subtle note of honey. It’s juicy on the palate and bursting with stone fruit, citrus zest, lime and ginger with a lovely tug of sweet and tart that’s all nicely balanced by the acidity."

"This is certified organic and suitable for vegans and vegetarians. There are aromas of pit fruit, citrus and mineral notes on the nose of this tang-laden riesling. It streaks over the palate with a laser-like, electrifying line of stony minerality, racy lime juice and green pear. This is medium weight with oodles of nerve and verve from twist top to last drop. It’s dry on the finish and pairs exceptionally well with sushi or freshly shucked oysters."

"Riesling from Laundry Vineyard on the Vinemount Ridge brings great flesh and bones and does so with hard work in a funny varietal vintage. There’s a distinct wet stone feel and more than ample fruit to work in cohorts with acidity and cahoots with that mineral. Spot on, sub-appellation pinpointed, greater territory explained Niagara riesling. Most excellent work from Ann Sperling and with thanks to consistently excellent grape-growing from Heather Laundry"
