2016 Pinot Noir Laundry Vineyard/750ml

2016 Pinot Noir Laundry Vineyard/750ml

Over the last couple of decades Pinot Noir has become one of the most loved varietals that the Niagara Peninsula produces. Known for luscious red fruit and subtle earthiness, Niagara Pinot is an excellent conveyer of our fascinating local terroir. This Pinot Noir starts life at esteemed Niagara grower Heather Laundry’s Lincoln Lakeshore vineyard, which is fully Certified Organic. Warm days and cool nights, accompanied by the drying winds of adjacent Lake Ontario, produce a Pinot full of delicious red fruit and refreshing acidity. A lovely ruby red colour to the eye, ripe raspberries and plums on the nose are added to by complex earthiness and lightly toasted oak on the palate. A delight to pair with food, enjoy this 2016 vintage with anything from heavy fish dishes (try a pecan-crusted baked salmon filet), to poultry (classic Duck cassoulet) to pastas (any tomato based sauce with or without meat should do the trick!). Enjoy thru 2022

Production Notes
Hand-harvested, naturally fermented with 40% whole clusters, this wine was aged for 9 months in French oak, with larger format and only 12% new wood for complexity without dominant oak flavours.
