Southbrook Mulled Wine

Southbrook Mulled Wine

Serves: 8
Ingredients:
- 2 bottles of Southbrook 2007 Cabernet Merlot Shiraz
- 2 large oranges (sliced)
- 1 orange stuck with cloves
- 2 lemons (sliced)
- 3-4 tbsp honey
- 2-3 cinnamon sticks
- 3 inch piece of fresh ginger root, thinly sliced
- 1 bottle of fruit wine (we recommend Southbrook Cassis)
Method:
- In a large saucepot, combine all ingredients with the exception of a few orange slices (reserve for garnish).
- Cook over medium heat until it is just before boiling. DO NOT BOIL.
- Steep on low heat for a minimum of twenty minutes.
- Taste, add more honey if needed.
- Serve garnished with an orange slice.
