Wine Lovers’ Notes:

In the Glass

Bright gold to the eye, with aromas of blossoms, orchard fruit [apple, pear peach] and foundation of earth, yeast and smoke. Creamy texture, mouthwatering acidity, with flavours of pear and peach brûlée leading to a long, tangy finish. Drink now for its fresh, vibrant character, and age 3-6 years for added complexity. Serve with bloomy-rind cheeses, creamy seafood, roasted chicken and roast pork with apples.

Suitable for Vegans & Vegetarians.

**** 1/2 out of ***** -
Sexy aromas of baking spice, exotic incense, apple and pear precede a rich, creamy-smooth wash of lemon pie filling and grilled pineapple robed in nutmeg, vanilla and ginger bathing the palate infusing the long, dry finish along with toasty bits. It’s medium-bodied with a lengthy, balanced, refreshing aftertaste. Pour now to 2020 with roast or rotisserie chicken and roasted potato wedges
- Vic Harradine, Wine Current

90 points - Certified organic, this is soft, creamy and admirably ripe with a crisp edge, showing flavours of pineapple and orchard fruit and, in the distant background, notes of caramel and oak spice. Smartly oaked and balanced.
- Beppi Crosariol, The Globe & Mail

91 points - "Fruit is from two contracted growers (63% Saunders and 37% Laundry), all barrel fermented in French oak (2nd and 3rd year barrels), lees aging one year, all vegan friendly. 12.5% ABV. Very soft and engaging, much like the 2012 in its youth, mild toast but a longish length. Showing some orchard fruit on the mid-palate. Very Burgundian in style. Best tasted in contemplation, underpriced. Do not overchill."
- Dean Tudor, Wine Trade Winds Diary

"Stelvin screw cap. Stelvin screw cap. Quite a change in style compared to the last vintage, this has subtle aromas of orchard fruits, earth and yeast. The palate is medium+ bodied with more orchard fruit flavours like apple and pear, with underlying earthy flavours, and ending with slightly honeyed notes. Some interesting salty notes mid-palate. Acids are prickly and juicy, providing freshness. Finish is earthy and dry, with very good length. I would put this away for another year to let it develop further. Serve with only a light chill."
