2008 Triomphe Chardonnay VQA Certified Organic
$21.95 / 750ml (Ontario Price Shown)
Wine Lovers' Notes:
In the Glass
Complex nose of floral, pear, apple pie, toast. On the palate, it's mouthfilling, round and rich with hints of earth, toast and tangerine. Bright acid and a long finish.

90 points - "This is an intense Chardonnay with quite mature character due to lots of barrel work. Expect complex, distinctive aromas of cashew, dried herbs/mint, smoke and dried peach fruit. Great structure here, its taut, firm yet expansive on the palate, with excellent lemony acidity of Niagara's 2008 vintage. Excellent length; quite nutty on the finish". - David Lawrason, WineAlign.com
"Colour: Deep straw. Nose: Mature, apple puree, toast. Taste: Dry, elegant, caramel, apple and citrus flavours; good length. Drinkability: Now". - Tony Aspler, WineryToHome.com
"Most people associate Ontario with ice wine (if they even know that the Canadian province makes wine at all), and that's a pity when there are great wineries like Southbrook making wines that are as distinctive as they are green. Coming from an estate that's organic, biodynamic, and LEED-certified sustainable, this Chardonnay has bright acid, apple, grapefruit, and mineral notes, well-integrated oak flavours, and a lingering toasty finish". - Jennifer Sendrow, Martha Stewart Radio Blog
